osthal brings over a decade of achievement in film and photojournalism to her successful wedding photography business. An award-winning filmmaker, Elke's talent, training, and unique point of view inform her work, creating pictorial narratives out of non-traditional shots and unexpected moments. Elke, who worked as a photojournalist for over a decade in her native Germany before coming to New York in the early 1990's, includes formal, posed portraits as needed, her approach is to allow the flow of the event determine the pictures, and the photographs are integrated into the action, rather than apart from it.
